The International Space Station has been orbiting the Earth since 1998 - in fact it celebrates its 22nd anniversary in a few days time.

It is often visible in the night sky over Essex, but only for about 4 minutes at most, so you have to know when and where to look.

We use the Nasa site - click on the "Canvey Island" marker in the map.

You can also subscribe to a daily e-mail when the station may be visible - just add your e-mail address.

It's difficult to take a photo from Earth, unless you have a telescope (or a very steady hand!)
